Colour:
Natural sealskin.
I.e. glossy grey or brownish sealskin with dark markings
All skins have different markings, and no 2 skins are alike. Their marks and markings can be seen on the sandals.
However, all pairs of summer sandals match each other in pattern and colour.
Sealskin:
It is Greenlandic harp sealskin that is used for the sandals.
Harp skin is known for its dark spots, which are scattered around on a skin that is grey or brownish.

Available in sizes 35 to 46
We recommend that you choose the size you usually wear in shoes.
The sizes here are “completely normal”, i.e. size 39 corresponds to a normal size 39.

The sole is 2 cm high.
Lining:
On the back of the sealskin it is lined with thin, black calfskin, so your feet can easily and quickly slip into the summer sandal.
Sole:
It is non-slip and hard-wearing.
It is a Portuguese, foot-shaped sole with room for the toes and light support for the arch.
The black rubber sole matches the sealskin nicely.
Fit:
The sandal sits comfortably on the foot, and your feet rest well in the foot-shaped sole.

The Greenlandic hunters sell their skins to Great Greenland, which handles the processing of the skins.

Daily use and care:

Let the skin breathe: Sealskin benefits from fresh air. You do not need to pack it away if you do not use your sealskin product every day.

When the skin gets crumpled: If your sealskin product has become a little flat or crumpled, you can make the hairs stand up nicely again by holding it over the steam from a pot of boiling water. (mind your fingers while steaming the skin)

Brush with the hair: You can gently brush the skin with a soft brush. Always remember to brush with the direction of the hair (from root to tip).
Water and stains – When accidents happen:

Wet sealskin: Caught in a rain shower? Don’t worry! Shake off the excess water and let the skin dry naturally at room temperature.

Minor stains: Gently wipe with a firmly wrung-out, soft cloth with lukewarm water. Always wipe with in the direction of the hair growth.
What you should avoid

No direct heat: Do not place sealskin on a radiator, close to a wood-burning stove or under a hairdryer. Direct heat dries out the leather back so it becomes stiff and brittle.

Avoid chemicals and soap: Never use stain remover, chemicals or household soap on the skin.

No airtight plastic: Do not store your sealskin in airtight plastic bags. Instead choose a cloth bag or put it in a dark place, so the skin can breathe.
