A little practical information about the finger gloves in sealskin:
The model is a simple and classic finger glove with natural-coloured sealskin on the back of the hand and soft black lambskin in the palm and thumb (see photos).
The gloves are sewn from leftover skin from the sewing workshop – everything must be used, nothing must go to waste, right?
The materials:
The finger gloves are sewn in Greenland natural-coloured sealskin and soft lambskin.
Sealskin is a sustainable material.
A skilled hunter goes out to sea because he has to provide food for his family.
Instead of letting the skin rot away in nature, he sells it to Great Greenland, which processes the skin so that it can be used for clothes, shoes and bags.

The gloves are sewn in harp sealskin – it is known for having dark spots in different sizes spread over a greyish background.
Size:
The glove in seal- and lambskin is available in 4 sizes:
- Small – corresponds to size 7
- Medium – corresponds to size 7.5
- Large – corresponds to size 8
- X-large – corresponds to size 8.5 – 9 (a man’s hand)
Please note:
The gloves are sewn by hand. This means they can vary slightly in size.
If you are on the fence between 2 sizes, you should choose the smaller size.
Seal- and lambskin is a soft material and it stretches with use and moulds to fit your hand.
Lining:
The finger gloves are lined with soft, black polar fleece, which is lovely and warm and can keep your fingers warm when the winter weather is mild – (see photos).
NOTE:
When the winter is cold and full of snow and frost, we would definitely recommend that you try our sealskin mittens or shearling gloves
TIPS – how to keep your fingers warmer in your sealskin finger gloves.
Pull the sleeve out over the gloves, and you get better protection of your wrist against the winter cold, because you keep it warm.

Care of sealskin
Daily use and care:

Let the skin breathe: Sealskin benefits from fresh air. You do not need to pack it away if you do not use your sealskin product every day.

When the skin gets crumpled: If your sealskin product has become a little flat or crumpled, you can make the hairs stand up nicely again by holding it over the steam from a pot of boiling water. (mind your fingers while steaming the skin)

Brush with the hair: You can gently brush the skin with a soft brush. Always remember to brush with the direction of the hair (from root to tip).
Water and stains – When accidents happen:

Wet sealskin: Caught in a rain shower? Don’t worry! Shake off the excess water and let the skin dry naturally at room temperature.

Minor stains: Gently wipe with a firmly wrung-out, soft cloth with lukewarm water. Always wipe with in the direction of the hair growth.
What you should avoid

No direct heat: Do not place sealskin on a radiator, close to a wood-burning stove or under a hairdryer. Direct heat dries out the leather back so it becomes stiff and brittle.

Avoid chemicals and soap: Never use stain remover, chemicals or household soap on the skin.

No airtight plastic: Do not store your sealskin in airtight plastic bags. Instead choose a cloth bag or put it in a dark place, so the skin can breathe.
