Small clutch or cosmetic pouch in sealskin
– it is a lovely little thing.
Morten Ussing’s idea was to create a beautiful cosmetic pouch in sealskin, and he has absolutely done that.
It has a suitable size as a cosmetic pouch,
and can easily hold mascara, eyeliner, concealer and lipstick or gloss as well as a small bottle of perfume and a mini hairbrush.
That is:
everything you need for both your everyday and evening look.
The advantage of it being made in sealskin is that it is soft to handle.
That also makes it easy to find at the bottom of the big bag, where it can sometimes be a little hard to quickly find what you are missing right here and now.
and as a Bonus:
You can also use this smart little thing as an elegant small clutch if you are going into town or to a party.
As a clutch it will adorn the table and be a sure “eye-catcher”, because it is beautiful to look at and lovely to touch.
It can easily hold the most necessary things you need for a pleasant evening, and which are always good to have at hand.
You can without problems put your mobile, lipstick, credit card and other things in it, while you can easily open and close it with the zip.

The materials:
The small clutch or cosmetic pouch is sewn in Greenland black sealskin and soft, black calf leather from Spain.
Inside:
the cosmetic pouch is lined with black, soft canvas.
Colours:
The pouch is made in Greenland black sealskin.
Good to know about black sealskin:
There are no black, red, green or blue seals in the sea around Greenland.
They are naturally greyish with beautiful dark markings.
But in Greenland we love colours, and that is why we have found a way to dye sealskin in many beautiful colours.
The black colour is the most classic and elegant colour, which many people in Europe have also fallen for.

Closure:
The small clutch or cosmetic pouch is closed with a somewhat heavy zip. It is a good, rustic detail that suits the bag nicely.
At each end of the 2 zips there is a black leather strap so you can easily pull the zip together and quickly close the cosmetic pouch.
It ensures that the things you keep in the small clutch or cosmetic pouch do not fall out.
Designed by:
the Danish designer Morten Ussing.
The man behind the name is a moped-riding Vejle native who has moved to Copenhagen.
He loves strong colours – even though he always wears black himself, and he loves experimenting with different techniques that combine fur and skin in new ways and in strong colours,
and he says himself that he gladly eats oatmeal a couple of times a week in order to be able to work as a freelance designer.
Perhaps you have seen some of his beautiful dresses on the red carpets at various premieres, or when Queen Margrethe holds a party and invites guests to Gala A.

Daily use and care:

Let the skin breathe: Sealskin benefits from fresh air. You do not need to pack it away if you do not use your sealskin product every day.

When the skin gets crumpled: If your sealskin product has become a little flat or crumpled, you can make the hairs stand up nicely again by holding it over the steam from a pot of boiling water. (mind your fingers while steaming the skin)

Brush with the hair: You can gently brush the skin with a soft brush. Always remember to brush with the direction of the hair (from root to tip).
Water and stains – When accidents happen:

Wet sealskin: Caught in a rain shower? Don’t worry! Shake off the excess water and let the skin dry naturally at room temperature.

Minor stains: Gently wipe with a firmly wrung-out, soft cloth with lukewarm water. Always wipe with in the direction of the hair growth.
What you should avoid

No direct heat: Do not place sealskin on a radiator, close to a wood-burning stove or under a hairdryer. Direct heat dries out the leather back so it becomes stiff and brittle.

Avoid chemicals and soap: Never use stain remover, chemicals or household soap on the skin.

No airtight plastic: Do not store your sealskin in airtight plastic bags. Instead choose a cloth bag or put it in a dark place, so the skin can breathe.

Generations-long durability: The leather under the fur is incredibly hard-wearing. If you take care of it and let it dry at room temperature (never on the radiator!), a sealskin product can easily be passed on to the next generation.
