The sealskin bag has an oval shape with:
- front is made of Greenland sealskin.
- back, sides and bottom are sewn from black calfskin.
- the bag is closed with a good, strong zip.
- the strap is short and can be adjusted as desired – or taken off completely.
- inside, the shoulder bag is lined with fine black canvas.

- a glossy, beautiful natural – harp skin, where the dark markings can be seen against the glossy background.
- a lovely red – where you can distinguish the dark markings against the red colour.
Both colours are classic and stylish and match the black calfskin nicely.
Good to know about black and red sealskin:
There are no black, red, green or blue seals in the sea around Greenland.
By nature they are greyish with beautiful dark markings.
But in Greenland we love colours, and so we have found out how to dye sealskin in many beautiful colours.
Black is the most classic and elegant colour, which many people in Europe have fallen for as well.

The bag is sewn to a fine oval pattern, which gives it a timeless and classic look.

- all measurements are taken on the outside of the bag,
- the materials are soft and can stretch, so the bag can hold quite a lot even though it is not wide.

Inside, the bag is lined with black canvas of good quality.

The shoulder strap is made of black leather and can be adjusted in length from 92 to 120 cm. (See photos)
It is long enough for you to carry the sealskin bag cross-body, or you can shorten the strap so you can use it as a shoulder bag.
You can also remove the strap completely and use the bag as a clutch.

Care of sealskin
Daily use and care:

Let the skin breathe: Sealskin benefits from fresh air. You do not need to pack it away if you do not use your sealskin product every day.

When the skin gets crumpled: If your sealskin product has become a little flat or crumpled, you can make the hairs stand up nicely again by holding it over the steam from a pot of boiling water. (mind your fingers while steaming the skin)

Brush with the hair: You can gently brush the skin with a soft brush. Always remember to brush with the direction of the hair (from root to tip).
Water and stains – When accidents happen:

Wet sealskin: Caught in a rain shower? Don’t worry! Shake off the excess water and let the skin dry naturally at room temperature.

Minor stains: Gently wipe with a firmly wrung-out, soft cloth with lukewarm water. Always wipe with in the direction of the hair growth.
What you should avoid

No direct heat: Do not place sealskin on a radiator, close to a wood-burning stove or under a hairdryer. Direct heat dries out the leather back so it becomes stiff and brittle.

Avoid chemicals and soap: Never use stain remover, chemicals or household soap on the skin.

No airtight plastic: Do not store your sealskin in airtight plastic bags. Instead choose a cloth bag or put it in a dark place, so the skin can breathe.
