When you shop at Sikamut
When you place an order, we need information so that we can process your purchase and send the item to you.
That can among other things be:
- name
- address and any other delivery address
- country
- telephone number
- email address
- information about your order
- information about payment and delivery.
We use the information to complete your purchase, send an order confirmation, receive payment, deliver the item and help you if questions arise afterwards about, for example, returns or complaints.
The processing is necessary for us to fulfil our agreement with you and to comply with the legal requirements that apply to, among other things, bookkeeping and accounts.
When you pay online, the payment details themselves are processed by the payment provider handling the payment.
When you contact us
If you write or call us, we process the information you give us so that we can answer your enquiry.
That could for example be your name, your email address, telephone number, order number and the content of your message.
We keep the information for as long as it is necessary to handle your enquiry and any subsequent questions.
We ask you not to send sensitive personal data unless it is necessary in connection with your enquiry.
When you sign up for our newsletter
Only sign up for the newsletter if you want to.
When you sign up, we register among other things your name and your email address as well as information about your consent.
We use Klaviyo to send our newsletters.
In connection with the newsletters we may also register information about how you use them – for example whether a newsletter is opened, and which links are clicked. That helps us make our newsletters more relevant.
We send marketing to you on the basis of your consent.
You can always withdraw your consent by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletters or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing is of course free.

When you visit Sikamut.dk, the website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Some cookies are necessary for the shop to work – for example to remember the contents of your basket.
Other cookies can be used for statistics, functionality or marketing. These are only used when the required consent has been given.
In our cookie policy you can see which cookies we use, what they are used for, who sets them, and how long they are stored.
There you can also change or withdraw your cookie consent.

We may also pass on information to public authorities if we are legally obliged to do so.
Processing of information outside the EU and EEA
Some of the IT services we use may process personal data outside the EU and EEA.
That applies among other things to our newsletter system Klaviyo, which may process information in the USA.
When personal data is transferred to a country outside the EU and EEA, we make sure that there is a lawful basis for the transfer and appropriate protection of the information.
That can for example be on the basis of the EU’s approved arrangements for data transfer or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long do we keep your information?
We do not keep personal data for longer than necessary.
Information that forms part of our accounting records is as a rule kept for 5 years from the end of the financial year the information relates to.
Information about your order may also be kept for as long as it is necessary to be able to handle, for example, complaints, refunds or other claims in connection with the purchase.

If you have signed up for our newsletter, we use your information for that purpose until you unsubscribe. Information about your consent or your unsubscription may subsequently be kept for as long as it is necessary to document that we have complied with the rules.
The storage period for cookies appears in our cookie policy.
